Adlington is a small village in Cheshire, located between the towns of Stockport and Macclesfield. Its principal feature is the manor house, Adlington Hall. Members of the side come from a wide area to practice and perform the traditional dances of England. They do so for the fun, friendship, fitness and liquid fortification associated with Morris Dancing

Formed in 1964, the Adlington Morris Men have earned an excellent reputation for their dancing and now perform a full programme throughout the spring and summer. Their dances are drawn mainly from those originating in the Cotswold and surrounding villages. They have developed a repertoire involving an individual style and interpreattion, whilst still retaining the traditional elements of the dance

They also perform a long sword dance from Vale of Yorkshire and the Alderley Mummers play, which is performed during the Christmas period

The team's emblem is the unicorn and is taken from coat of arms of the Legh family, who have lived at Adlington Hall since 1315 AD.

Adlington Morris Men are members of the Morris Ring and the Morris Federation
